Gallery exhibit at Keeble & Shuchat in Palo AltoPosted by Jeanine in landscape photography, nature photography, Photography, Travel, wildlife photography, tags: gallery, Photography, Photography show Bay AreaGallery exhibit at Keeble & Shuchat Photography in Palo Alto. December 2 to January 15th. There is 47 prints on display, photos range from Africa to Antarctica. Photos are upstairs on the Second floor. Keep January 10th open for a possible Wine & Cheese party more details to follow. Keeble and Shuchat address is 290 California Avenue in Palo Alto, Near the Caltrain Station. D3 firmware has a bug. If you are shooting at 9 frames per second or more you might get a corrupt file. For a temporary fix I changed my CL continuous low setting to 8 frames per second in the menu. So I will use that till the fix is available. I got a early birthday gift from Dave SeriTek/5PM 5 bay eSATA enclosure drives. Now I have the tool to get organized, but I need to pick the software I am leaning toward Aperture. Dave says JBOD stands for “just a bunch of disks”. Update: the Bug in the firmware has been fixed!! We went to Yosemite and had a great time. It was not the best for photos but it was great to be there. With the road work going half the valley is not reachable by car but you can still hike to spots. The light was not dramatic and there was not one cloud in the sky. But the amount of water coming down the falls was good. Not too many flowers blooming n the valley but I saw some buds.

D3 firmware and Nikon NX updatesPosted by Jeanine in Photography, Software, tags: D3, PhotographyToday I just updated my D3 firmware and now I can adjust my focus point brightness witch is a nice feature. There are also some other small fixes and the highlights play back display is easier to find in the menu. It now has vignette control for certain lenses and I turned on that on. Nikon NX I also updated with the 1.3.3 I am not sure of the details of the changes yet I am just getting to learn the software now. I am very impressed so far and wish I could use it to process my raw files while using Aperture or Lightroom. |
